IT Support for Car Dealerships in Florida

When the DMS is down, nothing sells and nothing gets delivered.

A dealership is several businesses sharing one network. Sales needs the CRM, finance needs the lender portals, service needs the shop system, parts needs inventory, and accounting needs all of it to reconcile at close. When the dealer management system is unreachable, none of that waits politely. Deals sit unsigned, repair orders cannot be opened, and a customer who came in ready to buy goes home instead.

Computer Sales and Service supports car dealerships across Florida. Remote coverage, same business day response, and a team that understands what a Saturday looks like on a dealership floor.

What dealerships actually call us about

The DMS or CRM is slow, unreachable, or logging people out

CDK Global, Reynolds and Reynolds, Dealertrack, Tekion, VinSolutions, DealerSocket — these are hosted platforms, so the problem usually sits between your workstation and the vendor rather than inside the vendor. Saturated internet, bad DNS, a failing switch, a certificate or browser problem, a machine that has not been restarted in six weeks. We work that path in order, and when it genuinely is the vendor, we hand them the evidence so the ticket actually moves.

The controls the FTC Safeguards Rule asks for

Dealers who finance vehicles, or who arrange financing through someone else, are treated as financial institutions under federal law. That puts them under the FTC Safeguards Rule. Most of what the rule asks for is ordinary IT work done deliberately and written down: multi-factor sign-in, access controls, encryption, knowing where customer information actually lives, logging, secure disposal, change management, and training the staff who handle it.

We are not attorneys and do not certify Safeguards Rule compliance — but the controls an examiner asks about are the controls we put in place.

Backups you can open the store with

When a dealership loses its systems, the question is never whether a backup exists. It is how quickly the store can sell again. That means image-level backups, a copy held offsite, storage that ransomware cannot quietly alter, and restores somebody has actually performed. A backup that has never been restored tells you a job ran. It does not tell you the store can open.

Vendors with a way into your network

A dealership runs on other people’s systems — the DMS, the CRM, lender portals, equipment vendors, the manufacturer. Every one of them that touches customer information is a vendor the rule holds you responsible for overseeing. We keep track of who has access to what, and we make sure that access ends when the relationship does.

Turnover, and the accounts it leaves behind

Dealership turnover is high and accounts outlive the people who used them. Salespeople move on with working logins to the CRM and the lender portals still attached to their name. We handle onboarding and offboarding as a standing routine, not as a favor when somebody remembers to ask.

Rooftops that grew up separately

Groups usually buy stores rather than build them, so each one arrives with its own network, its own vendors and its own habits. We bring those onto shared standards deliberately, one piece at a time, instead of replacing everything at once and stopping business while we do it.

Why remote works for a dealership

Most of what breaks on a dealership floor is software, access, or configuration, and every one of those is faster to fix remotely than by waiting on a truck. We are on the machine while your customer is still sitting at the desk.

A screen share does not fix a dead switch or a router that lost power. That needs hands, and we will say so plainly rather than bill you for an afternoon of guessing.

Who you are actually calling
